生化机理 Cellulases are enzymes that hydrolyze cellulose to glucose. Cellulase is used to study the development of occupational asthma in the detergent, pharmaceutical, baking, and enzyme production industries. Cellulase is added to detergents to improve cleansing properties. It is also applied in the biodegradation of paper products such as foolscap paper, filter paper, newspaper and office paper as well as microcrystalline cellulose.

Cellulase refers to a family of enzymes which act in concert to hydrolyze cellulose. Trichoderma reesei has an extensively studied cellulase enzyme complex. This complex converts crystalline, amorphous, and chemically derived celluloses quantitatively to glucose.Cellulase from Sigma has been used to degrade cello-oligosaccharides into glucose; to study the biodegradability of bioabsorbable bacterial cellulose (BBC) material. Cellulase from Trichoderma reesei has been used in a study to assess the differential regulation of the cellulase transcription factors XYR1, ACE2, and ACE. Cellulase from Trichoderma reesei has also been used in a study to investigate the liquefaction of hydrothermally pretreated wheat straw at high-solids content.

生化机理 Cellulase catalyzes the breakdown of cellulose into glucose. It complexes with β-glucosidase for degrading cellobiose to glucose polymer. The lignin content in straw and furfural residues hampers cellulase production.

Produced by submerged fermentation of a selected strain of the fungus Trichoderma reesei and catalyzes the breakdown of cellulose into glucose, cellobiose, and higher glucose polymers.
Cellulase has been used to degrade cello-oligosaccharides into glucose in order to investigate the biodegradability of bioabsorbable bacterial cellulose .
